How big can the videos be?

Uploading videos on a single custom page is limited to 500MB. This refers to all videos per custom page. For example, if you upload two videos on one page, they must not exceed 500MB together for that page.

The recordings of livestreams that can be uploaded are on the servers of our partner 3Q and

have no limit.

What video settings are recommended?

As a file format we support MP4, which is optimally generated via the H.264 codec.

The main consideration for video size is the bit rate used. This specifies the size of each frame, i.e. each image in the video. Depending on the image format and frame rate (Frames Per Second= FPS), different bit rates are recommended.

Since we are subject to a limit of 500MB, this results in maximum lengths that a video can have. If a video is longer, it will be larger than 500MB according to the bitrate.

Recommendation for videos with standard frame rate (30FPS):

Video Type
Standard Frame Rate (30 FPS)
Maximum Video Length
1080p
8 Mbps
Ca. 8 minutes
720p
5 Mbps
Ca. 13 minutes
480p
2.5 Mbps
Ca. 26 minutes

Recommendation for videos with a high frame rate (60FPS):

Video Type
High Frame Rate (60 FPS)
Maximum Video Length
1080p
12 Mbps
Ca. 5 minutes
720p
7.5 Mbps
Ca. 8 minutes
480p
4 Mbps
Ca. 16 minutes

The above specifications are only recommendations, for a clean image quality. It is possible to create longer videos even with lower bitrate and thus keep the file size below 500MB.

There are also programs and websites that specialize in compressing video files.
