If you would like to store your own fonts in your Mobile Event App, we have compiled some important information below. Please note that storing other fonts always requires special adaptation by our developers and also an update of your app. You are welcome to discuss the costs involved with our sales team.

What does the app use by default?

A question that often reaches us: which fonts are used in the app? The Mobile Event App uses fixed fonts by default. These differ depending on the platform:

Android - Roboto

iOS - Helvetica New (up to iOS 9) / San Francisco (from iOS 9)

Web - Helvetica New with the fallback fonts (if a font is not available on the computer) Helvetica, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif

What to do if you want to change the fonts of the app?

One important note in advance: We recommend that you leave the default fonts in place for optimal display of all content in the app. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that all labels will be displayed correctly with a new font, as run lengths, line heights and character sizes differ despite the same font size and can therefore differ greatly from our standard fonts.

In case you still want to use other fonts, our developers will be happy to assist you, because you cannot do this step yourself. The fonts (typefaces) will then be stored when the three app platforms iOS, Android and Web are built. After the app has been rebuilt, an update will be played out for you, which can take up to several days, especially in the public App Store.

What we need from you:

We need the delivery of your font in the fonts (= font styles) listed below. Our three app platforms use these to varying degrees.

These fonts must be available to us in TTF format

If your desired font does not have all of the required styles, please provide us with an assignment as to which style we should use instead. If this is not possible for you, we will make this assignment for you.

Finally, a few notes:

Please also note that we cannot purchase the license for a desired font for you. The font must be available to you.
